Case Study 2

The old garage/ storage room was suffering years of neglect and the decision was made to knock it down and start again instead of a refurbish job, but reusing the old bricks on the front and side elevations to try and maintain that old traditional look but using new imperial sized bricks on the back and east side elevation to keep the whole building running level rather than trying to match in metric and imperial bricks.

The first floor is of timber frame construction with 2 dormer windows made by ourselves on site and a natural slate roof and slate hung dormers giving a wonderful sea view.

Ship lap inside and out give the building a warm feel with modern building techniques and materials meeting today’s high standards but still retaining that beach hut surfer feel and great extra room for those unexpected guests with its own wet room and new kitchen and greatly adding to value of the property way exceeding the cost of the build.
